LIGHTING CANDLES MERITS WISDOM

Rav Huna said, one who observes the mitzvos of Lighting the Shabbos and Chanukah candles will merit children who will be Torah scholars. The famous commentator, Rashi, explains that the verse in Proverbs, “For the commandment is a lamp; and the Torah is light;” connotes that through lighting of the lamps comes the light of Torah.
