DONATIONS, DEDICATIONS AND PLANNED GIVING
The
Tehilim Hotline was established over five years ago
with a small group of individuals interested in
helping our Jewish
brethren through the power of prayer by reciting
assigned chapters of Tehilim (Psalms) daily on behalf of
Jews in need. The Hotline has grown beyond our
greatest expectations. As of today, our members number in
the hundreds and the entire Book of Tehilim is recited over
10 times daily!
Boruch
Hashem, we have been successful in helping thousands of
people through difficult times. With sympathetic ears,
advice and referrals many have told us that they could never
go through those times without the Tehilim Hotline.
Only
through the help of individuals like you, are we able to
maintain the vital community service that we provide 24
hours a day to those who are truly in need of help.

maximize the impact of your giving. By using various
government sponsored tax-beneficial tools, your charitable
contribution can sometimes double its benefits!

Bequests: Leave a legacy of giving
Bequests
provide an ideal means to benefit the Tehilim Hotline
project, since you control your property until your passing
and leverage your own gift by avoiding state inheritance and
federal estate taxes. In the United States, the benefit can
be more than half of the value of your bequest if your
estate is in the 55 percent tax bracket. No limits are
placed on the amount of estate-tax charitable deductions one
can claim.
You can
make a bequest to Tehilim Hotline in a variety of ways: with
a new Will or a Codicil (amendment) to your current will;
naming Yeshiva Derech Chaim, the sponsoring organization of
Tehilim Hotline, a beneficiary of your retirement plan;
including Yeshiva Derech Chaim in your living trust; or a
simple pledge agreement.
See below
for a suggested text for an unrestricted bequest.
Life
Insurance:
Naming Yeshiva Derech Chaim as the beneficiary of a life
insurance policy makes the insurance proceeds tax deductible
in your estate and avoids costly and time-consuming probate.
A relatively small annual premium provides for a substantial
future gift -- one that will offset taxes due on your
estate. If ownership of a policy is transferred to Yeshiva
Derech Chaim during your lifetime, it can produce a current
tax deduction. Existing policies may also be transferred
easily.
