1. To the chief Musician, Altaschith, A Miktam of David; when Saul sent,
2. and they watched the house to kill him. Save me from my enemies, O my God; defend me from those who rise up against me.
3. Save me from the evil doers, and save me from bloody men.
4. For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul; fierce men are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.
5. They run and prepare themselves for no fault of mine; awake to help me, and behold.
5. You therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to punish all the nations; do not be merciful to any wicked traitors. Selah.
6. They return at evening; they howl like dogs, and go prowling around the city.
   
7. Behold, they belch out with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for Who hears?, say they.
8. But you, O Lord, shall laugh at them; you shall have all the nations in derision.
10. O my strength, upon you I will wait! For God
9. O my strength, upon you I will wait! For God is my fortress
10. God who loves me shall come to meet me; God shall let me gaze upon my enemies.
11. Do not slay them, lest my people forget; scatter them by your power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12. For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them be taken in their arrogance; and for cursing and lying which they speak.
13. Consume them in wrath, consume them, till they are no more; and let them know that God rules in Jacob to the ends of the earth. Selah.
14. And at evening let them return; and let them howl like a dog, and go prowling around the city.
15. Let them wander up and down for food, and growl if they do not get their fill.
16. But I will sing of your power; indeed, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning; for you have been my fortress and my refuge in the day of my trouble.
17. To you, O my strength, I will sing; for God is my fortress, and the God who loves me.

א לַֽמְנַצֵּחַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת לְדָוִד מִכְתָּם בִּשְׁלֹחַ שָׁאוּל וַיִּשְׁמְרוּ אֶת־הַבַּיִת לַֽהֲמִיתֽוֹ
 ב הַצִּילֵנִי מֵאֹיְבַי | אֱלֹהָי מִּמִתְקוֹמְמַי תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽנִי
 ג הַצִּילֵנִי מִפֹּֽעֲלֵי אָוֶן וּֽמֵאַנְשֵׁי דָמִים הוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי
 ד כִּי הִנֵּה אָֽרְבוּ לְנַפְשִׁי יָגוּרוּ עָלַי עַזִים לֹא־פִשְׁעִי וְלֹא־חַטָּאתִי יְהֹוָֽה
 ה בְּֽלִי־עָוֹן יְרוּצוּן וְיִכּוֹנָנוּ עוּרָה לִקְרָאתִי וּרְאֵה
 ו וְאַתָּה יְהֹוָֽה־אֱלֹהִים | צְבָאוֹת אֱלֹהֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הָקִיצָה לִפְקֹד כָּֽל־הַגּוֹיִם אַל־תָּחֹן כָּל־בֹּגְדֵי אָוֶן סֶֽלָה
 ז יָשׁוּבוּ לָעֶרֶב יֶהֱמוּ כַכָּלֶב וִיסוֹבְבוּ עִֽיר
 ח הִנֵּה | יַבִּיעוּן בְּפִיהֶם חֲרָבוֹת בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶם כִּי מִי שֹׁמֵֽעַ
 ט וְאַתָּה יְהֹוָה תִּשְׂחַק־לָמוֹ תִּלְעַג לְכָל־גּוֹיִֽם
 י עֻזּוֹ אֵלֶיךָ אֶשְׁמֹרָה כִּי אֱלֹהִים מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי
 יא אֱלֹהֵי חַסְדִּו [חַסְדִּי] יְקַדְּמֵנִי אֱלֹהִים יַֽרְאֵנִי בְשֹׁרְרָֽי
 יב אַל־תַּהַרְגֵם | פֶּֽן־יִשְׁכְּחוּ עַמִּי הֲנִיעֵמוֹ בְחֵילְךָ וְהוֹרִידֵמוֹ מָֽגִנֵּנוּ אֲדֹנָֽי
 יג חַטַּאת פִּימוֹ דְּֽבַר־שְׂפָתֵימוֹ וְיִלָּכְדוּ בִגְאוֹנָם וּמֵאָלָה וּמִכַּחַשׁ יְסַפֵּֽרוּ
 יד כַּלֵּה בְחֵמָה כַּלֵּה וְֽאֵינֵמוֹ וְֽיֵדְעוּ כִּֽי־אֱלֹהִים מֹשֵׁל בְּיַֽעֲקֹב לְאַפְסֵי הָאָרֶץ סֶֽלָה
 טו וְיָשֻׁבוּ לָעֶרֶב יֶהֱמוּ כַכָּלֶב וִיסוֹבְבוּ עִֽיר
 טז הֵמָּה יְנִועוּן [יְנִיעוּן] לֶאֱכֹל אִם־לֹא יִשְׂבְּעוּ וַיָּלִֽינוּ
 יז וַֽאֲנִי | אָשִׁיר עֻזֶּךָ וַֽאֲרַנֵּן לַבֹּקֶר חַסְדֶּךָ כִּֽי־הָיִיתָ מִשְׂגָּב לִי וּמָנוֹס בְּיוֹם צַר־לִֽי
